Join Kinky Friedman at Surf Club Records in Corpus Christi, TX on Sunday, June 29 at 2:30 p.m. Kinky will be promoting and selling cigars from his new Kinky Friedman Cigar Company. He'll meet customers, light up his new cigars, autograph cigar boxes and discuss cigars, politics (and virtually anything else). The five sizes: The Governor, Kinkycristo, Texas Jewboy, Utopian and The Willie are made of beautiful hand rolled Habana wrappers grown in Honduras with a blended filler of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos and Costa Rican binders.Surf Club Records is located at 309 North Water Street in Corpus Christi, TX. Kinky Friedman and Steven Fromholz are joining talents in rare and intimate performances, singing songs and telling tales, all for the benefit of the Kinkster's favorite cause, the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, a 501(c)3 organization that rescues abandoned and/or abused dogs, nurtures them and places them with loving families. Kinky Friedman, humorist, author, songwriter and musician, is also an animal lover and the founder of Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Kinky's latest ventures include his new Kinky Friedman Cigar Company and a book about his recent run for governor of Texas, "You Can Lead a Politician to Water, but You Can't Make Him Think."An eminent songwriter, Steven Fromholz has had his songs recorded by John Denver, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker and dozens of others. Willie's version of Fromholtz' song, ‘I'd Have To Be Crazy' earned two platinum records. Steven was named Texas Poet Laureate in April, 2007, and has just published a new book, ‘Texas Trilogy' (Esteban Publishing).
