Kinky Friedman will be one of the featured keynote speakers at the East Carolina University Humor Festival and Conference.  Kinky will speak, read an excerpt from his writing, take questions from the audience and sing a few of his songs for the crowd.  Books will be available for purchase and autographing afterward.  The three-day event features a performance festival that includes everything from stand-up and improv comedy to joke contests and silly songs, a film festival, cream pie throws, prat fall demos, whoopie cushion thrills and an academic conference in which scholars explore humor in literature, dance, film, theater, therapy, and art.
